How can I contact my customer care representative directly?

This process is automatically done for you! Our emailing/chat system recognizes your contact information and automatically directs you to your assigned customer care representative with every correspondence.

Can I change customer care representatives?

Yes! While it isn’t recommended, circumstances happen to where a client can request a new customer care representative or will have a new customer care representative automatically assigned to them. Can I save a garment I’ve constructed without purchasing?

Yes! Users are able to click on the “Save to My Closet” button that appears on the third step of the garment selection process. You can find your saved garments in the User Profile page under the “My Closet” tab.

I forgot my password/email, how do I recover it?

Click on “Forgot Password?” at the user profile login page. You can request a password change by following the instructions you will receive via e-mail. Please check your e-mail (and the junk mail box). For further assistance, contact our Customer Care Team (customercare@miamera.com)

My garment has been ripped, stained, and/or has broken closures, can I get a new one?

Yes! Mia Méra offers a lifetime Garment Insurance Policy. This policy states that if any current client has a Mia Méra made garment with rips, stains, and/or broken closures they can get it replaced absolutely free! All they have to cover is the shipping cost to get it sent to our atelier. How does it work? Contact a customer care representative (customercare@miamera.com) and request more information regarding policy pricing. Clients that are already signed up under the policy can take a picture of the garments rip, stain, or broken closure, send it to a customer care representative, and then ship it to the address provided by the customer care representative.

Any tips on general garment care?

Yes! Brush your garment for 30 seconds with a natural bristled brush, proceeding slowly from top to bottom. When not wearing the garment, hang it on a shaped hanger (possibly made of cedar). The wood will shape the shoulder structure, absorb the moisture from the fabric and keep away moths. Each garment should never be worn more than 2 or 3 times a week. A little “rest” lets the fibers breathe and helps to stretch the small crumpling accumulated during the day. Use a garment bag to store your tailored garments when traveling.

Where can I find washing instructions for my garment?

Washing instructions will be provided in your final garment shipment. It will be inside of the garment package along with your garment.

Are checks accepted?

Yes! However, Mia Méra will deposit the check amount first before garment construction begins to ensure the check does not bounce.

Are bank debits and/or transfers accepted?

Yes! ACH debit, ACH credit, or wire transfer options are available to our clients.

What forms of currency do you accept?

At this time Mia Méra accepts over 135 different currencies worldwide through the Stripe payment processer.

Where can I find the receipt for my order?

The receipt for your garment will be directly emailed to you after the invoice is paid. Also, you can find a short list of your order details within your user profile underneath the “My Closet” tab.

Are the garments tax free?

No! Mia Méra complies with all country, federal, and state tax structures from around the world regarding traditional retail sales.

Will the price of my garment vary based off of the details I choose?

Yes! Since Mia Méra is a custom-tailored experience, we can make any garment as complex as you’d like. With that being said, prices will vary based off of the amount of selected items, such as different fabrics, closures, etc...

I’d like to purchase a garment for someone else as a gift, how can I do that?

You would need to have that person’s measurement information, and, complete an initial consultation call with us so that we can better understand what you are looking for, and how we can best serve you. Also, there may be a few fittings involved to complete the garment construction process. For further details about this process, please reach out to our customer care team (customercare@miaméra.com).

Where can I buy a gift card?

Unfortunately, Mia Méra does not offer gift cards at this time.

Will Mia Méra be having any trunk shows in my city?

Dependent upon our tailor’s travel schedule we may be having trunk shows in your city. Please contact customer care if you’d like to be notified when/if trunk shows do happen within your city.

Can I get suggestions about my style?

Yes! We encourage clients to take advantage of our “Be My Stylist” option on the help desk page of our website. This allows clients to fill out a short form, speak with a customer care representative, and receive a made-to-order item based off of the measurements completed within their user profile. While you will still need to complete an initial consultation call, we will handle all of the creative designs, and present to you 3-5 garment options based off of the short form the client will fill out.

How fast is the complete garment production process?

The garment production process varies based off of client need, communication, availability, desired fit, and measurement completion. It can range from 2 weeks to 9 months dependent upon the complexity of the garment, and number of alterations requested by the client. To speed up the process Mia Méra always next-day ships all of its items to clients and covers ALL shipping costs (clients included) throughout the process. We encourage you to complete as many points of measurement you can within your user profile under the “measurements” tab!

Where will my garments be made?

All of our garments (at this point) are made in our atelier located in London, England.

Are there “ready-made” items I can purchase?

No. Mia Méra prides itself on exclusive craftsmanship of each garment. We cut, sew, and craft each garment specific to each client with care in every stitch. We refuse to participate in fast fashion.

Does Mia Méra do bridal gowns?

Yes! Any of our evening gowns can be altered into bridal. Also, clients can reach out to our customer care team (customercare@miamera.com) and request to have a custom-made gown not shown on the website by our creative director.

Is there a store where I can go to see the products displayed in person?

No. Mia Méra is an exclusive online retailer with ateliers around the world. Unfortunately, outside of fittings, clients are not permitted to enter our atelier’s just to browse.

How far in advance should I plan to schedule my initial consultation call?

It is customary for clients to schedule as soon as possible, due to the length of the garment construction process. However, if you are planning for big events such as weddings, prom’s, bat/bar mitzvah’s, engagements, red carpet events, etc... We highly recommend scheduling 6-9 months in advance so that we can ensure the process is not rushed and can deliver the highest quality garment our clients have come to expect.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes! Mia Méra will provide the tracking number to the final garment when sent.

Is shipping free?

Yes! Mia Méra will cover all of your shipping costs throughout the garment construction process.

Why are some fabrics more expensive than others?

Each fabric has its own unique weave. The type of fiber, fineness, and workmanship can make a fabric particularly valuable and therefore more expensive than others. Luxurious materials like silk, cashmere, and high-quality wool are rare and possess superior characteristics, justifying their higher price. Additionally, intricate production processes, advanced dyeing or printing techniques, and specialized finishes contribute to increased costs. Fabrics created by renowned design houses or in limited quantities are also pricier due to exceptional craftsmanship and exclusivity. Brand reputation, research and development expenses, and marketing efforts further influence fabric pricing. Furthermore, sustainability initiatives, ethical sourcing, and compliance with fair trade practices can elevate fabric costs. Considering these factors helps customers make informed decisions based on their preferences, budget, and desired garment qualities.

What is a swatch kit?

A swatch kit is a small package of 3-5 trims of fabric that we will provide to our customers so that they can see and feel the final garment fabrics. This assures our tailors that we are using fabrics desired by the client specifically. If you’d like to purchase just a small swatch kit before ordering a garment, please contact our Customer Care Team (customercare@miamera.com).

I don’t want my garment anymore. Can I get a refund?

No. At this time Mia Méra does not allow for refunds after the final delivery of the garment. However, we will make alterations per a submitted alterations request.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes! Our cancelation policy states that if a customer cancels the order and doesn’t decide to proceed after the initial consultation call then they will NOT be invoiced, and Mia Méra will retain their $35 consultation fee. If a customer cancels throughout the garment construction process (post-consultation call) they will only be charged for the billable hours the tailors put in up to the day of cancelation (and will not be charged for fabric, closures, or full garment cost)

I don’t like the fabric of the garment I received, what can I do?

To best display the representation of online products in conformity with reality we send our customers a fabric swatch kit (3-5 fabrics in the color of their choosing) before starting garment construction. That way the customer can personally verify the quality and the color of the different fabrics. Currently, the return of a garment that does not reflect the customer’s desired outcome is not allowed.

I have a special request for my garment, how do I notify the tailor?

Special/extra requests will be taken care of during the initial consultation call. Further requests can be made throughout the tailoring process, however, that will result in a delayed time frame of garment construction along with extra fee’s invoiced separately.

How can I be sure the measurements I’m taking are done correctly?

Mia Méra will provide detailed instruction to clients via video tutorial/zoom conference call upon request. If our tailors evaluate the inserted measurements and deem any as non-compliant, we will contact you directly and ask you to double check them (and/or help you refining them ourselves). If you have any doubts or want assistance, feel free to contact our customer care team at customercare@miamera.com.

Do the inserted measurements apply to all the garments available on the website?

Yes. One you’ve entered your measurements we will be able to use them for all of your current/future orders.

Will I have to enter my measurements every time I want to purchase a garment?

No. After you’ve inserted your initial measurements during the profile creation process, they will remain stored in your User Profile (under the “Measurements” tab) and will be used by our tailors to make all your garments. You can adjust these at any time, and are encouraged to fill out as many points of measurement as possible before your first order for a more streamlined experience.

Do I have to do an in-person fitting?

No! However, in-person fittings are crucial towards the desired fit and personalized touch our clients come to expect. It allows the tailor to meticulously measure your body, understand your preferences, and make real-time adjustments for flawless results. The collaborative dialogue during the fitting ensures that the garment not only fits perfectly, but also aligns with the individual’s style and lifestyle. This hands-on approach by Mia Méra, rooted in tradition and craftsmanship, creates a unique bond between the tailor and client, resulting in a truly remarkable sartorial experience.

Will Mia Méra ever request my medical information?

No! Mia Méra aims to protect the privacy and inclusivity for ALL clients. While it is not customary or necessary for our company or tailors to request medical information, we may engage in dialogue with clients to understand specific fitting requirements. Open, honest communication allows our tailors to address the unique adjustments to enhance comfort and accessibility for clients. However, any information shared should be limited to what is directly relevant to the fitting process, adhering to strict privacy guidelines outlined by regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). At Mia Méra we source our fabrics from some of the top textile factories throughout Europe that follow sustainable practices. We are constantly researching and exploring new ways to create sustainable fashion, including using organic and recycled materials.
